Busy Weekend for Steve Solo
Thursday nite I have been invited by my musical buddy Mike Demers and Line to record the weekly program "Rétro Galaxie" at CKVL Studios in Sainte Julienne about 10 minutes south of soloLand. I've been asked to 
bring my backing tapes and a guitar and of course my sidekick Willie Western will do some voice overs for their studio. It should prove to be interesting doing radio out of my own studio and with a new team. For sure I'm going to be presenting my country spoof "Mon Chapeau de Cowboy" and a few others and probably jam with Mike "en direct" The internet radio show starts at 19h30 to 21h30 you can get it by clicking here. Friday night I will return to the stage with Craig Morrison and the Momentz. Not since 1988 have I been a "Moment" and it was a surprise when
Craig called me up to pitch the project. The venue is more upscale than I am used to.. OSCAR PETERSON HALL at Loyola Campus 7141 Sherbrooke West in Montreal. I contribute one song that meets the nite's theme it's the "Peppermint Twist". I'm looking forward to singing with my friend Craig and our old drummer Pierre Gauthier it should prove to be a hoot. I sing background in a half dozen other songs also. I don't have to bring a guitar since it's only a cameo but maybe just the acoustic to hold on to like a crutch..

Saturday Sylvie and I do our first Rawdon gig for 2006 at the Anglican Hall Hawaiian BBQ and
dance. Supper is at 17h00 and the band will be ready to play the music. This is an Anglican church sponsored event and I think it is pre sold because I didn't see any of the posters I had prepared, on the street. Maybe the little handouts were distrubed at the church and since I haven't been attending for a while I might have missed the promotion. It's true that I haven't been in Rawdon on the weekends since before the holidays when I played the RawdonINN on the 14th of December. So come on out for a look'n see what we are doing. I'm looking forward to meeting my internet friends from the RAWDON FORUM at this party. Drop in on your way to somewhere else ... I would imagine you would be welcome after the supper has been served at 20h00 and the tables have been cleared mmm a mid winter BBQ .... ==PHOTOS==@==HERE== Any comments on this or anyother topic should be entered below.
