25cm of snow hits Rawdon
We were up before the storm hit about 5:30 and watched the snow fall with the outside light on. Quite a pleasant storm as there was a no wind at all... the snow fell and just stayed there even not blowing anywhere...
My partner Sylvie had planned to stay home as soon as the event had been announced over the media we just don't like running around in the snow storm. By 9hr00 there was almost a foot of the whitestuff on the ground and it showed a little sign of letting up. Around 11 I went out and started shoveling with my big shovel and when it was tough getting going... my dog didn't even want to adventure out into the 25 cm and turned back towards the house.
With so much snow for sure the men and equipment were obviously very busy and elsewhere, so I had time to move around the stuff in front of my house before the blower showed up. Sylvie came out to join me on the shovel. She cleaned her truck off as I continued to dump the accumulation into the ravine.
We went back into the house and waited for the plow to pass which it did about 14h10 the guy pushed an blew the snow down my tobaggan hill and cleaned us up pretty good too thanks ... I still got problems with my lungs got this cold and I'm hurting so I'm gonna call it and rest up for
my gig tomorrow night an hour away from here..

Back to this page... wasn't feeling very good yesterday the cramps in my legs kept me immobile and in bed relaxing.. hardly ate any supper and was a sorry lad. Sylvie and I drove the car into the village and walked around with the dog on a leash. I had my blood pressure checked with the machine at Pharmacie Jean Coutu first time with my shirt it measured 141/125/82 the second time on bare skin 125/90/80, pretty high above my average... Normal blood pressure is defined as a reading of 120 mm over 80 mm. High blood pressure is a reading of 140 systolic (the upper number) over a diastolic (the lower number) reading of 90. Numbers between 120 over 80 and 140 over 90 are a potential sign of pre-hypertension and may suggest treatment is necessary. Nearly everyone over 55 will eventually become hypertensive...
